Domestic Violence Counselor / Trauma Therapist

Location: Twin Falls, Idaho
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

One Love Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domestic Violence Counselor / Trauma Therapist to join our growing team in Twin Falls. This position focuses on providing trauma-informed counseling services to individuals impacted by domestic violence, abuse, and related mental health challenges.

We are open to both full-time and part-time clinicians who are committed to providing high-quality care and making a meaningful impact within the Twin Falls community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy services utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches.

  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Support clients in identifying goals, building coping skills, and improving overall mental wellness.

  • Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical, legal, and organizational standards.

  • Collaborate with community partners, victim advocates, healthcare providers, and other members of the treatment team.

  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

  • Stay informed regarding current research, best practices, and emerging trends in trauma treatment and domestic violence services.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Idaho license as an LPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or be a Master's-level provider working toward licensure. (Required)

  • Experience providing therapy and counseling services to individuals with diverse backgrounds and mental health needs.

  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and therapeutic interventions.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.

  • Commitment to ethical practice and professional standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, trauma, sexual assault, or victim services.

  • Training in trauma-focused treatment modalities such as CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, CPT, DBT, or similar approaches.

  • Experience utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

  • Knowledge of Medicaid, insurance billing, and documentation requirements.

Productivity Expectations

  • Full-time clinicians are expected to maintain approximately 30 billable hours per week.

  • Part-time clinicians will maintain a billable expectation based on their agreed-upon schedule and availability.

  • Opportunities for additional billable hours may be available for clinicians who wish to grow their caseload.

  • Administrative support, supervision, and scheduling assistance are provided to help clinicians maintain productivity and client care standards.
